1 Service Description

PetCheck is a web-based tool for pet boarding businesses, kennels, doggy daycares, home boarders, and pet sitters. It enables you to manage pet check-ins and check-outs, track daily care activities (feeding, walks, medications given), maintain pet profiles with owner contact details, and keep stay and care records accessible in one place.

PetCheck is a record-keeping and operational tool. It is designed to help you run your boarding business, not to provide veterinary care, diagnosis, or treatment.

2 Account Responsibilities

By creating an account, you agree to:

• ● Provide accurate information when registering, including a valid email address.
• ● Keep your password secure and not share account access with others.
• ● Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• ● Notify us immediately at support@petcheck.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
• ● Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
• ● Not attempt to access, scrape, or interfere with the Service, its data, or other users' accounts.

3 Health Data Accuracy

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the health, medication, and care information you enter into PetCheck. PetCheck does not verify, validate, or cross-check any health records, medication details, or care notes you enter. Inaccurate records could affect the care of animals in your charge. Please ensure all information entered is correct and up to date.

We are not liable for any harm to animals or people resulting from inaccurate, missing, or misread records entered by users of the Service.

4 Free Plan & Pro Plan

Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to the Free plan. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

5 Data Ownership

You own your data. All pet profiles, stay records, daily care logs, and other content you create in PetCheck belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of your records.

By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not use your pet records or client data for any other purpose.

You can export your data at any time using the CSV export feature built into the app. This ensures you are never locked in.

6 Acceptable Use

You agree not to use PetCheck to:

• ● Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• ● Store false, misleading, or fraudulent information about animals or their owners.
• ● Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• ● Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute the Service or its codebase.
• ● Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service at scale.

7 Service Availability

We aim to keep PetCheck available around the clock, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses caused by downtime.

We recommend regularly exporting your data via the CSV export feature so you always have a local backup of your records.

8 Termination

By you: You may close your account at any time by contacting support@petcheck.app. We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.

By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or are inactive for an extended period (more than 12 months with no login). We will attempt to notify you by email before termination where possible. In cases of serious violations (fraud, abuse), we may terminate immediately without notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. If you are on a paid plan, you will not be charged further, but no refund is issued for the current billing period.

9 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PetCheck and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. This includes, without limitation, loss of data, harm to animals in your care, or loss of business revenue.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.

10 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you by email where possible. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
